Yes, you heard that right! We won FIVE awards from the most prestigous chocolate judging organization in the world. Each year, the top chocolate professionals, michelin chefs, food critics, all get together to judge who makes the finest chocolate and chocolate confections. Entries come in from around the world from the very best chocolate makers and chocolatiers. What follows is a huge “taste-off”. This year, there were over 440 entries from the very best in the industry and our entries did very very well. In fact, each bar we entered won an award. This is particularly amazing since just last year, we felt very lucky that our Madagascar won a bronze. As always, we work each and every day to step up the quality of what we do. Clearly, that is beginning to pay off.
Our awards are as follows:
- GOLD – Madagascar
- SILVER – Ocumare
- SILVER – Montanya
- BRONZE – Jembrana
- BRONZE – Ocumare Milk
We are completely overwhelmed and humbled by this. There are some very fine chocolate makers in the United States and yet, no other American chocolate maker has received such a resounding round of approval from the Academy of Chocolate. Clearly, somebody likes what we are doing.
Really, a huge amount of credit goes to all the Amano Artisan Chocolate fans that we have. Seriously. What we do is a huge amount of work and at the end of each and every day, we go home exhausted. But what makes it all worth it is the faith that others have had in our vision and in us to be able to follow that vision. So, we dedicate our awards to you, our humble chocolate fans and to the love of chocolate.

Congratulations. Is the Ocumare Milk being sold yet?
Hi Brian, we’re awaiting our packaging for our Ocumare milk. In the meantime we are offering a prerelease ordering of the chocolate. Basically we’re letting you order our two new bars with some temporary packaging.
Congratulations! How exciting and what an incredible honor! I can’t wait to taste the Montanya and the Ocumare Milk. Good Job!
congrats, guys! we all know your bars are the best, but it’s awesome that the academy of chocolate does, too!
Congratulations on your success. Hang on for a wild ride.

Ocumare has always been my favorite. I’m eagerly awaiting the milk version.
Congratulations!
Does anyone in Utah County carry your product?
Thanks!
Where is this sold in Utah County?
Congrats on the awards. Is there anyone carrying your chocolate in BC, Canada? Would like to taste it.
Congrats! Found out about Amano while reading the list of this year’s Chocolate Award winners. Do you have any stockists in the UK?
Our chocolate is available in Canada (including BC) from Xoxolat in Vancouver. They are setting up internet orders but I don’t think have them yet. But you can call them at 604-733-2462. They used to be called Monde Chocolat.
We’re open to other companies selling us in Canada but we’ve not pushed it heavily due to problems doing mail shipments between Canada and the US. (Duties and tariffs are quite high)
We’re meeting with some distributers in the UK in a month. We’re really hoping to have something in place prior to the Christmas season. Unfortunately these things always take more time than you’d expect we’ve found. But we’re definitely doing our best to get chocolate to the UK. (We get an awful lot of requests)
