I have never heard of it being done with root stimulant and so do not know the boundaries as to how well this would work (or not). In general, cocoa trees are fast growing which is why the can start bearing fruit in only three years -- far sooner than many other fruit bearing trees. On the farm, propagation is done almost exclusively through grafting.

Very helpful but would like to know if the leaves to a cocoa can be cut in half, dipped in roottone and will that possibly grow roots? I have a cocoa tree that has been with me for several years, it isn't very tall, aprox. 18" healthy but lonely lol
I live in Pa, it is kept in a small greenhouse and it thrives in the summer.
